The Montrose Mouse was adopted by the City of Montrose as a symbol of the small town which dared to defy the United States bureaucracy in 1977. He stands shabby, yet determined not to sacrifice a small town’s values to the domination of anonymous U. S. bureaucrats or self-righteous special interest groups.
